EYFS DEV

Development of the group behaviour:
We sometime pair pupils to play co-operatively and share machines teaching them sharing skills, turns taking with others, developing a sense of timing and fairness.
This method also invites the children to share different ways of thinking. Managing feelings and behaviour: Children work as part of a group or class and understand and follow the rules.

Technology:
Children recognise that a range of technology is used in places such as homes and schools. They select and use technology for particular purposes. We will use laptop with and without a mouse. We will use iPads to record sounds take pictures and movies. We will use cables or Bluetooth to transfer information from one device to another.

Maths:
We work on colour recognition and colour matching using programs that combine shapes, colour and textures. They’ll use classification and sorting skills to rearrange and organise, they will use their numerical skills, sequential 1st term and non-sequential
3rd term to build pictures up.

Social:
We always start the lessons with a group chat to welcome communication and
develop their self-confidence and self-awareness using verbal skills. This helps them asking for help when they need it. We assess problems if there are any and adjust the lessons accordingly i.e. a behavioural problem or back from a long haul flight, new arrival in the family etc…

Expressive arts and design:
Exploring and use of media and materials:
Children create and draw, make pictures and paint and experiment with ways of changing them. They safely use and explore a variety of materials, tools and
techniques, experimenting with colour, design, texture, form and function.

Being imaginative:
Children use what they have learn about media and materials in original ways,
thinking about uses and purposes. They represent their own ideas, thoughts and feelings through design and technology, art, music, role-play and stories. We use software to bring the children to create their own design with paint stickers and colours.

Literacy
Reading:
Children use their alphabetical knowledge to connect dots made out of letters
Writing:
Children use their phonic knowledge to write words in ways, which match their spoken sounds. We use programs that sounds words and the children have to match the sound with the word.
